A Wonderful Summer!

Hello everyone,

the summer is looking great and weather is lovely!

We have been very busy and summer bouquets have been very popular. Lovely peoni, snap dragon, gorgeous delphinium and of course huge sun flowers have been flying out of the shop.

We have been very fortunate to find some great new florists. Mandy and Tracey have joined us during June. Both girls bring fab skills andnew ideas.

We completed our 3rd Floral Design Day at Broadfield Court on Saturday. The ladies had a great time and each left with over £50 of flowers. The days are great fun and designed to entertain and inspire.

easter weekend florists madness!

Hello everyone

hope you had a great Easter weekend and enjoyed the wonderful sunshine. We had a great weekend in the shop and at home with friends and family. In the shop we are selling spring flowers such as tulips, renunkola and anenome as fast as we can buy them in! Spring flowers are available for such a short time that it seems criminal not to enjoy them when you can!

Our new range of plants for home and gifts is going really well. Lots of nice plants in funky and cute containers and pots. Easy to pick up and go!

Our next Flower Design Day Course at Broadfield Court is next saturday. Again we have sold out which is fab! The feedback from the first day was great, with two lovely ladies travelling all the way from Leeds to join in..... now that's a love of flowers!

We are planning and inspiration trip to Amsterdam in June this year. We will go for a weekend and visit loads of florists to get summer design inspiration from the masters. Can't wait!!

A Plant New Day!

Hello everyone

we have decided to get into selling more plants! Now we will always have a lovely selection of 5 or 6 different species of plants, many of which will be in lovely containers and gift wrapped.

We are kicking of this monday with Azaleas, Gardenias, Hyacinth, Narcissi, Calla Lily and Lavender. Get involved!!

An interesting week on the web front with the launch of www.thehibiscusroomflorists.co.uk . This site is aimed at attracting customers on a national level or those customers overseas looking to send flowers in England and Wales. We now have 8 web shops in operation and they are beginning to see sales zoom which is fab.

Lovely to see some warmer weather settling over us which has seen a few more smiles on faces! We have almost finished an extension on our house with a redesign of our garden.... which is almost finished.... but not quite! So every warm evening that comes along I dream of a glass of wine, a chair on the new lawn and lots of happy customers served!!

Mothers Day Madness!

Hello everyone

it is Mothering Sunday this week and everything is go,go,go!!!

We are incredibly organised and ready for all the orders. We have 6 florists working for us this year and a seperate workshop based in Rotherwas to handle the evergrowing gaggle of talented and passionate florists!

On Sunday we will have 5 vans on the road and as usual we hope to have every delivery done by 1pm

Our flowers are on their way from holland and on thursday we will be conditioning and preparing the never ending dutch buckets of beautiful blooms.

The web site has been going mad and currently Pink and White for Mum is the most popular bouquet.

We have several other beautifully designed bouquets to choose from so pop through to our Mothers Day Collection and have a look! We also have a wonderful collection of chocolates and champagnes, so go on...... spoil Mum this year!

Valentines Day was Awesome!

Thank you all for another amazing Valentines Day! We had to shut on Friday at 2pm because we couldn't keep up with all you romantics!!

We definately didn't sell as many dozen roses this year but that is no bad thing... we doubled our sales on the web and ended up about 20% on last year overall.

On saturday we completed 100 deliveries! Now that is really something!!

Beautiful Whites was a popular choice as was a Red Hot Valentine.

We had a new face helping out this year in Mandy. It was great to find such a talented and hard working florist at a time when we needed one! Sometimes you need a bit of luck!

Christmas is almost here!

hello everyone!

we are enjoying an awesome build up to christmas and with only one week to go it is time to take the plunge and put in our flower order for christmas week. So many wonderful flowers to buy, so few christmases to buy them for!

Ilex berries are wonderful at this time of year and combined with amaryllis, grand prix red roses and seasonal foliage make a wonderful seasonal statement.

our hand decorated door wreaths are selling really well and we are almost sold out so if you had your eye on them.....be quick and visit us before they are all gone! we make them to order to compliment any colour scheme or choose one of our ready made wreaths hanging up in the shop.

Our last day for delivery is the 23rd december so get your orders in or collect up to and including the 24th.

A wonderful christmas!

Hello to everyone,

it may be cold but the flowers are absolutely wonderful at this time of year. Gorgeous reds and greens, whites and silvers and burnt orange and purple. 

Lizzie is creating some lovely door wreaths this year and they are selling like hot cakes! Using beautiful natural decorations like cones,cinemon, apple and orange slices and of course lovely ribbon Liz will work to compliment any colour theme!

Hi there

many apologies for the quiet period, I have been caught up developing our wonderful new web site and preparing for launch.
